After careful consideration, the founding organizers of the Edmonton Music Collectors Show (including founder and lead organizer George Gawlak, founder Dave Chorley, website/promotions coordinator Kasia Gawlak, and MC/promotions associate Jac Zylstra) have decided to move on and pass the torch to a new team to take over show operations.
Moving forward, the show will be organized by Rich Liukko (owner and operator of Freecloud Records) alongside Chris Walter (a longtime EMCS vendor since the very beginning). The first show under the new organizing team will take place on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Importantly, please note that there will also be a change of venue for the 2023 show. The event will now take place at the Northgate Lions Recreation Centre, located at 7524 139 Ave NW, Edmonton. Further details regarding the upcoming spring show, including information about vendor bookings, will be available in early 2023. We thank all interested vendors and patrons in advance for their patience during this time of transition.
To all who have participated in an EMCS event over the last 11 years, we thank you for the wonderful memories. Running this event was a great experience for us, and we will look back fondly on the digs, the finds, the fun, and most importantly, the people.
